Isn’t it a strange contradiction that the one designed to be the leader, the person of influence, or the one in power does everything they can to shy away from their natural inclination? Add to this, or as a stand-alone attribute, the person designed to bring forth their creativity and unique or innovative methods on a large scale runs in the corner and hides. Life gets dicey and full of angst when we avoid being who we are wired to be. It is so important to be who where are designed to be. It’s freeing. Oddly enough, life gets easier when you do.
And yet, there is often a voice in the background asking, who do you think you are? What happens if they don’t like me? Or worse, throw tomatoes at me? Marianne Williamson so eloquently answers these questions in “Our Deepest Fear.”
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It Is our light, not our darkens that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us: it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
– Marianne Williamson
Did you know that fear stands for?
What is the payoff for giving in to your fears?
What’s possible when you surrender to the process and live your life as you were designed to live?
When you can give yourself permission to embrace your personal power and be seen for the amazing person life becomes so much more rewarding. You get to decide when you STOP HIDING OUT AND BE, ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE SEEN.
